Blue Souk's rugs come from two weaving regions in Tunisia: Toujane, a stone village in the south, is known for flatwoven wool rugs made on horizontal looms — a technique passed within families. El Kef, in the northwest, produces knotted Berber rugs with a denser pile and the geometric vocabulary of all the Atlas Mountain Berber | Amazigh tribes from Tunisia to Morocco. Every rug is woven by hand, by a weaver we name.
